So hopefully, I've taken their attention off of the blueberry bushes as the berries are getting plumper by the day!

Cat59, yes, I knew Butterball was special as soon as I brought him home. He was a wise old man even at the young age of three. As soon as I brought him home, he developed a serious upper respiratory infection, he had ear mites, tapeworm and conjunctivitus!!

The poor guy was in a strange place with a strange person shoving nasting antibiotics down his throat twice a day, along with cold ear mite drops in his ears, jelly-like ointment in his eyes and drops up his nose!! He did cry out a number of times but was never aggressive or hissy.

In fact, within that same time period, little baby Apu got into some ribbon. I caught him and had to hold him while pulling a LARGE amount of ribbon out of him. He was frantic and crying out. Butterball rushed over and started licking Apu and Apu immediately calmed down. Yes, a sweet old soul from the beginning.possumladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060146825196164963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6335571259608101671.post-89842738403203731392008-05-28T21:27:00.000-04:002008-05-28T21:27:00.000-04:00I'm so glad your lonely blueberry bush now has a c...I'm so glad your lonely blueberry bush now has a companion. Sounds like you need another sweet, gentle, non-demanding cat. Could you tell that Butterball was going to be that way when you first met him? cat59Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6335571259608101671.post-32596823463406423132008-05-27T21:43:00.000-04:002008-05-27T21:43:00.000-04:00Sometimes there is a special pet who puts their ow...Sometimes there is a special pet who puts their owners on a pedestal. Butterball was intuitive and I understand your grief...

"Feed me, play with me, love me, leave me alone, let me out, let me back in, would it hurt you to clean the litterbox?"

I'm hammered, too, by two demanding BTs every day. But they don't care about CLEAN.

MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02040099513110890878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6335571259608101671.post-13677558133268846942008-05-20T01:23:00.000-04:002008-05-20T01:23:00.000-04:00Blueberry bushes are a wonderful idea and Butterba...Blueberry bushes are a wonderful idea and Butterball would be very proud of you. You will have to net them when the fruit is half-ripe, to keep the Mockingbirds away.
Your other cats might just be going through an adjustment period too, after losing their longtime friend. Be patient with them honey. And, hire a little man to come in to mow those lawns. It won't cost much and will be one less thing for you to do. xxxMmeBenauthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14365277537757094040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6335571259608101671.post-60953882666689423532008-05-19T20:54:00.000-04:002008-05-19T20:54:00.000-04:00I hope they'll be as sweet as your Butterball.I hope they'll be as sweet as your Butterball.Lynne at Hasty Brookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09187035706322695138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6335571259608101671.post-51532043071442972612008-05-19T20:45:00.000-04:002008-05-19T20:45:00.000-04:00I'll bet that blueberry bush will produces berries...I'll bet that blueberry bush will produces berries by the buckets!KGMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05165941950953938943noreply@blogger.com
